With the Halloween season coming soon one must be ready to hear the chilling story from a very unlikely place built on an old cemetery where even to this day you can see the dead Only 8 minutes away from our high school there is a boiling pot of spirits and reports of shadow figures with a hint of the feeling of being watched. A 35-acre Tourist attraction in Volo Illinois with an infamous auto museum with a big collection of auto vehicles and a big antique store with 3 malls that are just across the road from an old cemetery where many have their final resting place. When it was bought in 1965 no one but the owners knew of the hauntings, when one night The Gram family was sound asleep in their personal home not far from the mall when Mrs. Gram woke up one night to see a shadowy figure peering back at her. Nearby Mr. Gram awoke to see a shadowy figure walking around the halls approaching his own room when he entered the next room he saw nothing. There was no proof of anyone there nor a single soul in sight. One winter after closing hours a door was heard opening and closing and with the cold winter air blowing only a couple of footsteps in the snow could be drawn out that ended without a trace. A group of ghost investigators from the show” Ghost Lab” were one night put sensors and 2 of their teammates heard footsteps moving around in the dark, as objects began moving and shaking the investigators chased the ghost and even got footage of the elusive spirit. Even one of our own students experienced the elusive ghost while she was at the antique store, Freshmen Nelly Morales said “Were in the Star Wars section where all the cases were and we both were looking at something he was looking at baseball cards and I was looking at paintings and basically when I turned to my right, we both heard glass falling.” She had witnessed the spirit messing with them seeing the glass falling and before this, she hadn’t even seen or heard the documentary before this and had no knowledge of the past sighting. In the end its up to you what you want to believe but in case , maybe keep an extra light or lock your door at night.
