Clearing his way through high school, Senior Logan Myers has made himself a player to remember. Demonstrating leadership, dedication, and above all, accountability. With only 3 years under his belt, Myers has developed into a beast of a player.
“It’s all about that ‘Next Play’ mentality.” For Myers, this mindset is the foundation of his game. He focuses not only on the physicality of lacrosse but also on the mental discipline required to succeed. By constantly striving to be better than he was the previous quarter, Myers has become the teammate everyone can rely on during both high-pressure games and daily practices. For defensive middies, it is paramount that they succeed in their job, for a mistake could lead to goals. For Myers, however, a mistake is simply the groundwork for his next improvement. Every whistle is a fresh start for him—a chance to hunt the next ground ball, execute a perfect clear, or outwork his opponent at any moment.
Myers’ hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed. His teammates and coaches applaud his ability to always be there. “I can always count on him in any situation,” fellow teammate Junior Michael Gebhart says about Myers. “If he messes up, I know he’ll fix whatever needs to be fixed.”
For Myers, this obsession with improvement isn’t about the score but is about holding himself to a higher standard. Never letting him stoop down to his competitor’s level, both in skill and pettiness. He credits his football coaches for instilling this relentless work ethic, molding him into the best player possible. For Myers, this isn’t just a habit.
“It’s built in me,” says Myers.
Myers is more than just a memorable athlete; he is the teammate everyone relies on. His relentless work ethic is contagious, elevating the entire defensive unit alongside his own performance. By leading through example, he transforms the team from a group of individuals into an unstoppable force.
