Journalism is important because it sets you up for new skills that can be helpful in English and other life skills. I joined journalism that way I can have new opportunities and learn new skills when it comes to writing. I am a varsity cheerleader and use my speaking skills to advertise for the magazine. Journalism has helped me gain many new skills that I will be able to use in the future.
