Grant Community High School is filled with multiple athletes with a variety of sports, and weightlifting is a valuable way to train. Grant has taken into account that these athletes need a new and improved training area to develop their skills and will soon renovate the weight room area in the school. This time-consuming process will take place over the summer and may go into the mid autumn or early winter. This new lifting area will surely affect the student-athletes in a positive, healthy way. The revamping of the school’s weightroom will alternatively give our gym staff an opportunity to develop a larger number of stronger students and add new ways of training into the curriculum. This weightroom will grow in size and the maximum capacity will rise. The changes made will give students more opportunities to build their abilities, giving them strength. Furthermore, these renovations will benefit the strength and conditioning training and this will give our athletic department a new handle on the wins we will gain with a new system.
