For many years, students were resigned to AP classes to earn that extra college credit and save a bit of money. That was until 2015 when dual credit came to Grant.
Dual credit is a fast-paced alternative to AP courses which each require different prerequisites such as eligibility for an honors or AP course, or an exceptional SAT score. As well as getting out of a college class, students can save money by skipping the AP exam. Credit is based on course completion instead of an exam. In the 24-25 school year, many new dual credit classes will be available for seniors. Among them are Principles of Biology and Composition I, as well as more specialized classes like Comparative Political Systems. There are numerous options available for the upcoming seniors of Grant that are sure to be useful resources for the future.
