Technological advances are on the rise, which makes the need for more tech-based jobs, something that shouldn’t be ignored. Seeing this made senior Diana Ngo want to bring that fact to light, thus creating a Computer Science (CS) Club. The club meets every Monday in room 272 to learn more about the world of technology. The process of creating this club was a long and drawn-out one for Diana, but seeing the interest some of her fellow classmates had in coding helped drive her further into the creation of the club.
Running a club as a student is already a difficult task on its own, and with other clubs alike, there are normal guidelines to follow and an agenda to go along with. But now with a brand-new club at her disposal those resources have to be built from the ground with little to go off of. The overall goal of the club this year is to let people know that they are here and to make their presence known. Being new to computer science entirely, sophomore Vanessa Pendal, feared failure, “…[but] it was really nice, I flowed right into it.” The Computer Science Club is welcoming to all and is a place where everyone can share their love for computer science, no matter their level of expertise.
